(Glenwood) Harlan placed five runners in the top 20 and captured the team title in a tight three-way race at the Glenwood Cross Country Invite on Saturday. Harlan won it with 50 points, Lewis Central second, 57, and Glenwood ran third with 59 points.
Lily Denton of St. Albert won the individual title at 17.57.25.
In the overall individual placings, Lindsay Sonderman led the Cyclones with a runner-up finish. The senior clocked an 18:20.20. Harlan freshman Ashlyn Rau finished sixth, Brylee Schechinger eleventh, Allie Andersen 15th, and Aspen Bieker finished in 18th place.
Lewis Central placed two runners in the top five: Delayna Reese, fourth, and Ava Bussey, fifth. Madelyn Hoss, tenth, Mallory Bach, nineteenth, and Kate Strohmeier, 21st. Tyler Tingley came in 26th.
For Glenwood, Grace Berglund led the team with a third-place finish, Breckyn Petersen finished eighth, and Megan Hughes finished ninth. Madelyn Berglund finished 17th, and Katelyn Harms 24th.
Atlantic finished sixth place in the eleven-team field. Katrina Williams led the team with a 14th-place run. Haley White, 38th, Bella Brock, 43rd, Eylnor Brummer, 50th, and Allison Middents, 65th.
