No Threat To Public After Suspicious Package Reported In Iowa City

(Iowa City, IA) — University of Iowa Police issued a Hawk Alert this morning warning residents of a suspicious package at Capitol Street Ramp. The alert came at 6:28 a.m. leading to a closure of the ramp. As of 7am, police determined there was no threat to the public. Police are still asking people to avoid the area as the Johnson County Metro Bomb Squad is still investigating.
