(Des Moines) The National Weather Service says strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to move across the area this evening into early Friday morning. The highest threat is along and north of Highway 30. Forecasters say the primary hazards are damaging wind gusts and large hail, with an outside chance of a tornado.
