(Griswold, IA) — Disappointment has been the word to describe Griswold football recently — just two wins in the last five seasons but Head Coach Seth Lembke had no seniors a year ago and hopes that an experienced team will produce more in 2024.
Senior Bode Wyman is back at QB and Lembke says he needs to make better decisions after throwing 12 interceptions last season. At running back, the Tigers used a by committee approach and Lembke says it will be more of the same this year
On the offensive line, Lembke feels like he has more depth than in the past and some of that will translate over to the defensive front as well. Senior Wyatt Peterson (46.5 tackles, 9 TFL) and Senior Zane Johnson (33.5 tackles) should be leaders on that side of the ball
Top to bottom, Lembke believes his team is bigger and stronger than they were last year
Griswold opens their season this Friday hosting Boyer Valley
