(Monona County) Two people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 29.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 7:31 a.m. on Saturday on southbound Interstate 80 in Monona County. The victims are identified as 49-year-old Juan Cardenas Chavez of Denison and 64-year-old Theodore Armstrong of Belmont, North Carolina.
According to the report, a southbound 2025 Freightliner semi-driven by Armstrong collided with the rear of a 1994 Dodge Dakota pulled by a 1997 Nissan Standard.
Monona EMS transported Chavez and Armstrong to the Burgess Health Centre.
