(Atlantic) First Whitney Bank held an open house this morning at 300 Chestnut Street in downtown Atlantic to show off a newly remodeled commercial space and four new apartments.
Paul Gude, CEO and President of First Whitney Bank, said the commercial space located on the lower level of the building is not complete yet, but they do have some prospects. He said they will build the space out to order depending on who the tenant will be.
Gude said they were able to secure a downtown housing grant through SWIPCO and they began the process of renovating the building. He said the old building is practically new at this point.
There are four apartments upstairs. Two two-bedroom apartments and two one-bedroom apartments.
The 300 Chestnut Apartments can be rented through Whitney Development Corp.
