(Iowa City, IA) — Iowa Hawkeye football Media Day was on Friday and first on everybody’s mind is improvement on offense.
The Hawkeyes have a new Offensive Coordinator in Tim Lester and Head Coach Kirk Ferentz cannot praise him enough for how he has fit into the coaching staff. One huge key for an improved offense — keep starting QB Cade McNamara on the field — the Michigan transfer only played five games last year. Ferentz says there is still a battle in camp to see who the back up is — either Redshirt Freshman Marco Lainez or Junior Brendan Sullivan — right now Sullivan has a leg up
Ferentz says there are two other ingredients to a better offense — staying away from injuries and an improved offensive line
