(Avoca, IA) — It has been playoff football for the last 3 years for AHSTW and Head Coach GG Harris is hoping to make it four in a row.
The Vikings return their QB Camden Soukup and their top 2 rushers (Soukup and Luke Sternberg) off of last year’s 6-4 squad. Harris is ready for his team’s start of practice next Monday
AHSTW had one stretch last year where they lost three in a row in late September, yet rebounded to become a playoff team. Harris hopes that his boys have grown from that experience
The thorn in the Vikings side was Underwood who beat them 28-12 in Avoca’s Homecoming and then the Eagles thumped them 42-0 in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Practice starts for AHSTW next Monday and the Vikings open the season on Friday, August 30th visiting Tri-Center.
