Pocahontas County Man Dies in Motorcycle/Car Crash

(Algona) A Pocahontas man died in a motorcycle crash in northern Iowa.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday on Highway 18 just east of Algona. Authorities identified the motorcycle driver as 42-year-old Adam Allen.

According to the report, Adam Allen was operating a 2016 Harley-Davidson westbound on Highway 18 when a 2024 Nissan Sentra failed to yield at a stop sign and into the motorcycle’s path.

Ground Ambulance transported the driver of the Nissan to a Mason City Hospital.
