(Butler, County, Iowa) Senator Chuck Grassley, a senior member and former chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee from Iowa, has launched an investigation into the Secret Service following the assassination attempt against former President Trump.
He has sent letters to the USSS, FBI, the Departments of Homeland Security and Justice, as well as the Homeland Security Inspector General, requesting records and responses regarding the security failure on Saturday. Grassley has also asked the FBI and DOJ to provide updates on their investigation and to preserve all related records.
