(Shelby Co) The Shelby County Board of Supervisors set a hearing date for public comments on a proposed matrix qualified livestock facility.
According to the meeting minutes, this facility would be a rebuild of the facility damaged by a tornado in April. The public hearing date is set for August 6th at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors meeting room.
In other action, the Supervisors opened bids for the sale of the annex building. One bid was received in the amount of $215,500 from Monte Broeckelman. The Supervisors accepted the bid and asked the County Attorney to prepare the paperwork for the sale of the building.
The Supervisors also approved changes to the Shelby County Disaster plan. Shelby County EMA Coordinator Alex Londo presented the plans addressing the needed changes discovered by the April tornado. The changes include debris management and infectious disease sections.
Shelby County Engineer Chris Fredericksen presented two utility permits for FMCTC and one for Nishna Valley REC. The Supervisors approved those permits.
