(Red Oak) A Red Oak man suffered what is considered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident.
The Red Oak Police Department says the accident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday in the 500 block of E. Washington Avenue. Police identified the injured driver as 35-year-old Corey Phelan Porter.
According to the report, Porter was driving a westbound 2006 Dodge Dakota Pickup on East Washington Avenue when he lost his eyeglass lens. As he reached down to pick it up, the pickup crossed the center line into the opposite lane and struck a parked 2013 Ford pickup. The Ford lunged forward and struck a parked 2013 Equinox SUV.
Porter suffered from abrasions; however, he refused transport to a hospital. Police cited him for Driving in an improper lane.
The total estimated damage is around $12,100.
