(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board Wednesday night received a report from Stacey Schmidt, Director of Student Services.
Schmidt said she started last week and hit the ground running.
Schmidt said she has a lot of Para training in her background.
Director of Student Services is a new position at the Atlantic School. Earlier this year, Superintendent Dr. Beth Johnsen explained that the need for the Director of Student Services arose because classroom instructors have to manage several responsibilities, in addition to teaching, due to the demands and expectations from state and federal requirements for reporting. Therefore, the Director of Student Services would handle many of these responsibilities.
In other activity, the School Board reviewed the list of IASB Legislative Priorities. No action was taken on those priorities at Wednesday’s meeting.
The Board also approved four resignations:
*Jesse McCann – Girls Soccer Coach.
*Chase Roller – Assistant High School Wrestling Coach.
*Rachel Tener.
*Lyssa Nelson.
