(Des Moines) The National Weather Service says there are multiple chances for thunderstorms this week, including the potential for severe storms and heavy rainfall.
Non-severe showers and thunderstorms will move in from the west this morning, with the potential for a few severe storms moving in from the west and northwest tonight. The main threats would be damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall.
According to the National Weather Service, there is an enhanced risk for severe storms on Tuesday over southern Iowa and a slight risk for the rest of the state. All modes of severe weather, along with heavy rainfall, are possible.
