(Des Moines, IA) – Former Northwest Missouri State Bearcat, Mitch Mascari, is set to join the Drake Bulldogs. Mascari is now coming back to collegiate basketball and joining his former head coach from Northwest Missouri State as he’ll play one more season.
Northwest Missouri State star was a two-time Academic All-America honoree, Honorable Mention All-MIAA, CSC Academic All-District selection, and an MIAA All-Tournament team pick. Just this past season, he led the team in three-pointers with 82, ranking 34th in the nation. In the game against Washburn, he scored a career-high 27 points and knocked in 9-12 three-pointers. Overall, he ranked fourth in scoring with 10 points per game, went 51-55 at the charity stripe, and finished his career scoring 87.7% at the free-throw line.
Mascari joins Bennett Stirtz, Daniel Abreu, and Isaiah Jackson as Drake Bulldogs this upcoming season. All three players formally played for Northwest Missouri State.
