(Atlantic) The Iowa State University College of Design Team is in Atlantic today, meeting with Atlantic Mayor Grace Garrett, some council members, and City Staff. The visit is part of a pilot project in which Mayor Garrett, one of six mayors across the state, has been chosen to participate.
Mayor Garrett says her team has a few ideas, and she is looking forward to hearing suggestions from the ISU Design Team.
Mayor Garrett says they have another opportunity later in the week to work with UNI on their services. The mayor says these opportunities result from connections made during various summits and meetings the Mayor and City Council Members attend throughout the year.
The design team arrived in Atlantic at 10:00 a.m. and will follow the pre-meeting with a tour of the City.
