(Sac City) The case is now closed in the death of David Schultz, the Wall Lake truck driver missing from last November, with his phone, wallet, and keys all left behind in his semi-truck. The 53-year-old’s body was found in April in a farm field less than two miles from his abandoned truck left at a rural intersection north of Sac City.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation released an initial update following the discovery of his body, stating preliminary autopsy results showed no signs of trauma or serious injury and foul play was not a factor in his death.
The DCI stated that no crime was involved in David Schultz’s death, no more information will be released about the cause of death, and the case is now closed.
