(Atlantic) Atlantic City Administrator John Lund says he has a few things to address with seven days left in the fiscal year. One issue is the general fund, which shows a deficit of over $800,000. Lund is anticipating only $793,000 of revenue. Lund will dig into this over the next week to resolve it.
Atlantic Mayor Grace Garrett notified the public of the closure of the City Clerk’s Office today and tomorrow to prepare for the end of the fiscal year, which is July 1. Garrett says constituents can contact their respective City Council Representatives to work through any issues.
Mayor Garrett says the staff will train for a new payroll and bookkeeping system. She says they will also work on employee benefits, which take effect on July 1.
