(Des Moines) The National Weather Service says thunderstorms will develop over western Iowa later this afternoon and evening, then progress north and east into tonight and Wednesday.
The Storms may be strong to severe over portions of western and northern Iowa, with the threat of damaging winds, large hail, and locally heavy rainfall.
The severe threat wanes into tonight; however, the threat of heavy rainfall will continue overnight and into Wednesday.
