(Guthrie Co) A Missouri man was charged following a two-vehicle accident in Guthrie County on June 13th.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Aaron Becker, of Kansas City, was driving a 2019 Ford F150 southbound on Talon Avenue and failed to observe a stopped semi tractor trailer, driven by 22-year-old Nicholas Benshoof, of Winterset. The F150 rear-ended the tractor trailer. There were no injuries.
Becker was evaluated for driving under the influence and implied consent was invoked. The collected urine specimen will be sent to the DCI Lab for evaluation. Becker was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 1st Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also cited for Failure to Maintain Control. Becker admitted that he was using his cell phone prior to the crash.
