- Debris Removal: Emergency crews no longer collect storm debris and demolition material from the right-of-way. Residents are urged to coordinate with volunteer organizations or approved contractors for debris removal. For assistance with debris removal or housing demolition, please get in touch with the volunteer center at 641-631-6555 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Volunteer crews actively work on these projects in Adair County.
- Housing Demolition: If you require housing demolition, follow these steps:
- Contact your insurance company.
- Contact the volunteer center at 641-631-6555 or engage a city-approved licensed contractor.
- Contact Greenfield Municipal Utilities at 844-580-0810, Option 2.
- For sewer inspection after foundation removal, call 844-580-0810.
- Weather Advisory: The National Weather Service predicts high temperatures today, reaching the upper 90s and a heat index of 100 degrees. Severe storms may occur later in the day. In severe weather, the storm shelter is located at City Hall. Access is through the alley door on the southwest corner of the building.
- FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC): The DRC is operational at Nodaway Valley Elementary School, offering one-on-one assistance to those affected by the tornado. Operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. For inquiries, call 800-621-3362.
