(Humboldt County, Iowa) Two people died in a pickup/Utility vehicle crash in Humboldt County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 5:18 p.m. on Saturday at 170 Street and Michigan Avenue. According to State Police, 43-year-old Theodore Joseph Prenger and 56-year-old Teresa Ann Prenger, both from Dakota City, Iowa, died in the crash. Terry Dean George, 63, of Hardy, Iowa, suffered injuries in the crash.
According to the report, Theodore Prenger, driving a 2021 Polaris Utility vehicle southbound on Michigan Avenue, failed to yield at the intersection and pulled into the path of an eastbound 2004 Ford F250 pickup driven by Terry Dean George. The pickup struck the passenger side of the Utility vehicle, killing Theodore and Teresa Ann Prenger.
The accident remains under investigation.
