(Atlantic) Atlantic Trees Forever is planting 32 trees at the Schildberg Recreation RV Area this morning starting at 9:00 a.m.
Dolly Bergmann with the Trees Forever Group says Alliant Energy is funding the project with a $3,000 grant. Bergmann is asking for volunteers to bring a shovel and/or rake to help plant the trees. She says City employees augured the holes ahead of time.
Atlantic Trees Forever professionals will provide instructions on planting the trees adequately. The trees will be watered with mulch. City employees will eventually place stakes and protective barriers around the trees to keep the deer away.
Again, the tree planting starts at 9:00 at the Schildberg Recreation RV campground.
