(Atlantic) The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce announced the date for the 2024 AtlanticFest celebration scheduled for Saturday, August 10th, rain or shine. This annual festival serves as a fundraiser for the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce.
“AtlanticFest is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Chamber. Our sponsors help cover many of the event’s costs, allowing us to raise funds through registration fees and pop-stand sales. We use the funds from AtlanticFest to continue growing community events while supporting business-based programs. We love this partnership with First Whitney Bank and the experience AtlanticFest offers the community. It also allows us to support local businesses and civic organizations,” Bailey Smith, Executive Director at the Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce, stated.
“Downtown Atlantic will be filled with fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, said Smith. “Come early and start your day with a pancake breakfast or enjoy a 5K run/2K walk in the Annual Road Race with chip timing. There will be crafters from all over the Southwest Iowa area to browse through, as well as some of the best food vendors around that offer a wide variety of menu choices. Kids can enjoy fun bounce houses and games throughout City Park.”
AtlanticFest 2024 marks the 26th year of the Annual Car Show and 10th Annual Motorcycle Show. The bags tournament will be held in City Park, and free entertainment will be provided throughout the day.
Preregistration for the Car Show, Motorcycle Show, Road Race, and Bags Tournament is open now, and day-of registration is accepted. Registration to be a craft or food vendor is also being accepted now through August 5th.
