(Muscatine, Iowa) At around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the Muscatine County Drug Task Force started serving a search warrant at a residence in Muscatine. The subjects in question fled in a vehicle, leading Police on a high-speed pursuit on Highway 61 around Muscatine.
According to the report, the fleeing suspect’s vehicle collided at Highway 61 and Cedar Street around 3:40 p.m. The suspects fled on foot. Moments later, gunshots were fired at the scene.
The DCI is handling the investigation. The other agencies involved or lending support include the Muscatine Police Department, Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office, Cedar County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Department of Public Safety, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Muscatine Fire Department, and University of Iowa Air Care.
