(Creston) A Creston woman faces assault and other charges. Creston Police arrested 39-year-old Samantha Lynn Hayes of Creston at 604 N. Maple Street with Domestic Abuse Assault, 2nd Offense, and Consumption of Alcohol in a Public Place, 1st Offense. Authorities transported Hayes to the Clarke County Jail and held her on no bond.
In a separate case, Creston Police arrested 35-year-old Elda Soraida Lemus of Creston at her residence for Animal Neglect with Serious Injury or Death. Officers transported Lemus to the Union County Jail, where she posted the $2,000 cash bond.
