(Guthrie Center) On Tuesday morning, The Guthrie Center School Board approved the hiring of Brian Sauser as the new High School Principal. Mr. Sauser fills the principal position, which Mr. Ethan Lensch recently accepted at Western Dubuque High School.
Mr. Sauser is a Special Education Teacher and Head Football Coach at Ames High School. He brings with him over 25 years of teaching and leadership experience. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special EdBachelor’som Loras College and a Master’s in Education Administration at Grand Canyon University.
Sauser and his wife Mandy, a special education consultant for Heartland AEA, have three children: Emma, 24; Dodge, 21; and Dallas, 19.
Mr. Sauser states, “When we’re not traveling the country to see our kids, we love music and attend concerts when we can! Football has been and continues to be a huge part of our lives. Still, I enjoy Powerlifting, officiating high school and college basketball, umpiring high school baseball, and decked-out pickup trucks! 🙂 I am incredibly excited to be a part of an amazing, high-achieving, successful school district. The community’s pride in all activities and events at the high school is amazing. It is an honor to be chosen to lead and work to continue to advance ACGC High School to new heights while being a part of this great community!”
