(Fort Dodge) Two Webster County men face murder charges in the death of a Fort Dodge man.
According to the Fort Dodge Police Department, Authorities charged 26-year-old Alec R. Jones with First Degree Murder, and 21-year-old Nathan T. Jones is charged with Aiding and Abetting. Both men are from Fort Dodge.
According to the report, at approximately 12:18 p.m. on Friday, April 26, Webster County Communications received a call from a mail carrier on his route stating he had possibly located a body in a ditch in the 2100 mile of 280th Street.
When deputies arrived, they located a male possibly suffering from a gunshot wound. The deceased male is identified as 55-year-old Dennis R. Jones of Fort Dodge. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that Mr. Jones had been shot at that location. Authorities received a search warrant at 1440 2nd Avenue South in Fort Dodge, which led to the arrest of the two suspects.
As with all cases, the two suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
