(Audubon, IA) – On Thursday evening, the Audubon boy’s and girl’s tennis teams fell to Kuemper Catholic 9-0 and 8-1 respectively. While the scores don’t favor the Wheelers, they don’t reflect on how they played in their games.
Mason Reicks and Isaac Jackson while Jackson fell 8-5. The boy’s team also tried to mix things up, throwing both Jackson and Carson Matthews as doubles partners against Langerl and Hausman and fell in a tight 8-3 matchup.
In girl’s tennis action, the only victory for Audubon came in doubles as both Rachel Rynearson and Briley Belnap were able to defeat Regan Gerringer and Barsyn Lampman 8-6 in doubles action. The only singles matches that were close were between Audubon’s Ava Slater and Kayte Simans while the Wheeler’s Briley Belnap kept things tight against Broovie Rohe in an 8-2 loss.
Audubon’s boys return to action tomorrow against Dallas Center-Grimes and Ballard at Oak View while the girls will return back to the court on Tuesday, April 30th against Southwest Valley.
