(NAFB) There will be a 2024 summer E-15 waiver for eight states. That announcement gives consumers ongoing access to the 15 percent blend of fuel known as Unleaded 88 at the pump. Monte Shaw, Executive Director of the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, is glad for the certainty.
The waiver announcement is good timing as the industry now has some breathing room with fewer than two weeks until a fuel deadline. Without this announcement, terminal operators would not have allowed E-15 to go to stations after May 1st. Shaw thanked Iowa’s governor, congressional delegation, and the secretary of agriculture for keeping up the pressure to get this done.
