(Cass Co) The bridge project on G30 over Indian Creek in Cass County is wrapping up.
The bridge closed again on March 20th to finish the approaches and guardrails.
Cass County Engineer Trent Wolken said crews poured the second side of the approaches this week and they hope to put the guardrails in starting Monday.
“We should be able to get guardrail done in a couple of days and we’re hoping to get the bridge open next week,” said Wolken. “Then, we’ll just have some dirt work and some seeding to get done, but the bridge and road will be reopened again.”
Looking ahead, Wolken said they will be doing maintenance projects on some bridges, as well as maintenance on the roads to prepare for RAGBRAI coming through in July.
