(Hamlin) One person died in a two-vehicle accident in Audubon County Wednesday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says 73-year-old Sheryl Zinke, of Audubon, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The accident happened at 2:16 p.m. at Highway 71 and 220th Street near Hamlin.
According to the report, a 1998 Buick Century, driven by Sheryl Zinke, was traveling westbound on 220th Street and failed to yield from a stop sign. Zinke was struck by a northbound 2008 Peterbilt semi, driven by 42-year-old Ross Miller of Carroll. Miller was not injured.
