(Glenwood) The Glenwood girls topped the field of eleven teams on Thursday at their home meet with 152 points. Clarinda finished second with 88 points, Lewis Central third with 85, Atlantic fourth with 82, and Harlan rounded out the top five with 77.5 points.
The individual winners were Jerzee Knight of Clarinda, 100 meters (12.77); Danika Arnold, Glenwood, 200 (26.38); and Allysen Johnson of Logan-Magnolia, 400 meters (1:06.26); Claire Pellett, Atlantic, 800 meters (2:27.56), Lindsey Sonderman, Harlan, 1500, (4:58.87), and the 3000 meters, (10:38.45). Jaci Reed, Atlantic, 100-meter hurdles (16.07), and Bailey Nordyke, Clarinda, 400-meter hurdles (1:09.71).
In the relays, Glenwood won the 4×100 (51.27), 4×200 (1:47.69), and 4×800 (10:38.18). Atlantic won the Shuttle Hurdle Relay (1:12.02), Riverside took the 4×400 (4:10.12), and Lewis Central won the 800 Sprint Medley (1:57.43) and Distance Medley, Relay (4:27.77).
In the field events, Abi Hiller of Glenwood won the discus (115-04), and Jordyn Matiyow topped the field in the Shot Put (37-07.50). Jaylynn Floyd cleared 5-00.00 to win the high jump, and Aubrey Sandbothe of Council Bluffs, Abraham Lincoln won the long jump with a leap of 16-06.25.
