(Earlham, IA) – Two of our local teams, ACGC and Nodaway Valley competed in the track and field coed meet on Tuesday as the ACGC boy’s came out with a win and had a total of 168.5 points. Nodaway Valley’s boy’s team finished with 36 points and tied for eighth. The Nodaway Valley girl’s track and field team finished in fifth with 69 points while the ACGC Chargers finished with 25 points in 9th place.

Taking a deeper dive at some of the top finishers for the Chargers, first-place finishers included Tate Fever in the 400m hurdles and Andrew Mahaffey in the 1600m run. Looking down the line, Eli Madsen finished in second in the 200m dash and third in the 100m dash. Lance Bunde fared well behind Madsen in the 200m dash with third, finished fifth in the 100m dash, and finished second in the high jump. Max Trujillo-Garcia finished sixth in the 400m dash. Jathan South finished third in the 400m hurdles. Gavin Sloss earned third in the 800m run while Jarrett Mclain finished in fifth. Fuller Mike Fuller finished third in the shot put and third in the discus throw just in front of Mason Wahl who finished in fifth. Anthony Solorzano finished off the top finishers with fifth in the long jump. In the team results, ACGC finished first in the 4x400m relay and distance medley. They came in second in the 4x110m shuttle hurdle and second in the 4x800m relay. They also came in third in the 800m sprint medley and in the 4x100m relay.
On the opposite end, the Nodaway Valley boys featured Trenton Warner in first in the shot put and also first in the discus. Coming behind Warner was Ashton Honnold in the discus as he finished in sixth. Eli Harris finished in fifth with 58.64 points. In the team events, the boy’s 4x800m relay team finished in fourth.
Moving to the girl’s results, ACGC featured Savannah Akers in seventh in the 400m dash. Cadence Petersen earned a top-five finish at fifth in the 400m hurdles while Meranda Gruber came right behind at sixth. Ava Campbell finished in fourth in the girl’s 3,000m run while also coming in eighth in the girl’s 800m run. Becca Littler finished eighth in the discus while Caydence Boals finished in eighth in the shot put.
On the opposite side for Nodaway Valley, Emma Lundy finished first in the 200m dash. Jorja Holliday finished second in both the discus and the shot put. Maddie Weston earned third in the 100m dash. Grace Britten finished fifth in the shot put and also seventh in the shot put. In the team events, Nodaway Valley finished second in the 4x200m relay and third in both the 800m sprint medley and 4x100m relay.
