(Area) This afternoon, the moon will entirely block the sun, causing a natural phenomenon. The total eclipse will pass through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and a small portion of Michigan and Tennessee.
Iowa will experience 75 to 90 percent of the eclipse. Alexis Jimenez of the National Weather Service in Des Moines says the partial solar eclipse will be visible, depending on where you live in Iowa.
Jimenez says there will be a slight change in the weather conditions during the eclipse.
The eclipse path in the U.S. will start in Texas at 1:27 p.m. and finish in Maine at 3:36 p.m.
