(Iowa City, IA) – After one successful season for the Iowa women’s basketball team, the University of Iowa will be hosting an end-of-the-year celebration to honor the players who pushed Iowa women’s basketball to a nationwide success story. This celebration will take place on Wednesday, April 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Speaking at the celebration will be Sue Beckwith, Lisa Bluder, Caitlin Clark, Molly Davis, Sharon Goodman, Kate Martin, and Gabbie Marshall. The team trophies will also be handed out to the athletes in this celebration and will feature the Iowa Pep Band and Spirit Squad.
This is a way to thank the fans for their support of Iowa women’s basketball all season long and to celebrate as a team. The Athletics Department requests that fans do not gather for the team’s arrival in Iowa City today but rather on Wednesday to honor the athletes.
