(Guthrie County) – The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday morning to discuss a public hearing in relation to the reduction of a road in Guthrie County.
The first major item on the agenda was the hearing on the service level reduction to 233rd Lane Section 7 in Cass Township. Land owners near the road are looking to get the road reduced to a Level C rather than the current Level B status. The owners and residents of the current area are all in approval of Resolution 24-22 and the owners have already done work to the road in the past to cover it with new rock.
In other business, the board discussed the approval of awarding a contract for bridge project BHOS-CO39 that went to bid by the Iowa DOT. This will fully come out of the federal funds provided by the state rather than come out of the local budget.
They unanimously approved to award that contract.
The supervisors also approved the public budget hearing for the fiscal year 2025 that will be Tuesday, April 16th at 10:00 a.m. They also approved the notice of the public hearing for the budget with a unanimous vote.
In other business, they approved a temporary liquor license for Getting Slushed South of 35 LLC.
