(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning approved the Second Amendment to Ambulance Services Agreement.
The agreement is between the City of Atlantic, Cass Health, Cass County and Midwest Medical Transport Company, LLC, for April 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024 and July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
Supervisor Steve Green explained that the five year contract ends June 30th of 2025.
Green said they are sort of forcing that those pay raises take place.
The City of Atlantic is expected to take action on their agreement at Wednesday’s meeting.
In other news, the Supervisors set the Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget for April 23rd. They approved a resolution setting the Weed Control Program for 2024. The board received an ARPA funding request for $14,000 to replace a drone for the Sheriff’s Department. The board gave their approval, but formal action on that request will be taken at the next Board meeting. The Supervisors approved hiring a jail staff member. And, the Board signed a proclamation recognizing April 2024 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Cass County.
