(Des Moines, IA) — Over the weekend, hundreds of volunteers embarked on a horseback journey across Iowa to raise funds for adults and children with disabilities.
The Pony Express Riders of Iowa organized the event, riding “relay style” across the state to benefit Easterseals Iowa & Camp Sunnyside in Des Moines. Their mission aims to provide all Iowans with the opportunity to experience the joys of camp.
With over 12-million-dollars donated to the cause over the last five decades, the nonprofit’s efforts culminated in a celebratory parade on Saturday, highlighting their dedication to supporting those in need.
