(Des Moines) The National Weather Service in Des Moines is calling for two weather systems to sweep through the area. Meteorologist Jim Lee tells KSOM/KS95 News the first storm will be a “quick shooter” moving through southwest Iowa tonight, with rain and possibly a few thunderstorms lasting through Friday morning.
Lee says the second storm system will be more prolonged, with widespread precipitation starting Saturday night and running through Monday night.
Jim Lee says there appears to be another weather pattern during the second half of next week.
High temperatures will range from the low 50s today to lower to upper 40s for several days.
