(Atlantic) The 2024 Atlantic Boy’s Golf Team returns nearly the entire squad from one year ago. Seventeen players reported to practice for new Head Coach Kendra Henningsen.
Henningsen brings a wealth of experience, having played golf for Iowa State and the women’s Symetra tour known as the road to the LPGA. Coach Henningsen admits her time on the Symetra tour allowed her to play with some of the best women golfers on the pro tour today.
Coach Henningsen is excited about this year’s Trojan golf team.
Coach Henningsen says that with hard work and discipline, the sky is the limit for this team. Her main focus during the preseason is the short game.
The Trojans open the season on the road against Kuemper, Catholic, and Carroll on April 2 and host Creston at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club on April 4.
Coach Henningsen takes over the program for Ed Den Beste, who left the district for an administrative job. Volunteer coaches assisting coach Henningsen, are Darby McLaren, Kent Hansen, and Ed Den Beste.
