(Red Oak) The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Mike Olson, has addressed the accusation made against Montgomery County, Iowa, claiming it is a sanctuary for illegal aliens. “Director of the Program Studies Center for Immigration.”Washington, D.C., made the accusation. However, the board has denied the claim and plans to send a letter to Jessica M. Vaughan, the Director of the Program Studies Center for Immigration, to clarify the situation.
Mike Olson has been working with the Cass County Board of Supervisors chairman Steve Baier to investigate the matter. Olson claims Baier contacted Jessica M. Vaughan and expressed concern over the false information her group had released.
Olson was also offended by the comment and has decided to take action.
Olson says Montgomery County, Iowa, is not a sanctuary for illegal aliens, and a document will be sent to Jessica M. Vaughan as proof. The document will also show that a letter was sent to the individuals who made the accusation, and they failed to retract it.
