(Des Moines) The Iowa House passed HF2610 to continue to ensure safe and secure elections in Iowa.
Iowa House Representative Tom Moore, of Griswold, said they are getting rid of drop boxes which were a result of COVID.
Absentee ballots must be received by close of business the Monday before Election Day.
This bill also creates an affidavit envelope for absentee voters to affix their signature and verification number. This will ensure Voter ID will be required, even if you vote absentee. It also bans ranked choice voting in Iowa.
And, it strengthens the Safe at Home program to protect the confidentiality of voters who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, stalking or assault.
