(Atlantic) Atlantic City Clerk Barb Barrick is resigning for another position in central Iowa. Barrick submitted a resignation letter to the Atlantic City Council on Wednesday, March 6. Barrick tells KSOM/KS95 News she has accepted a similar position at Huxley. The move will bring her closer to her husband’s employment and family.
Barb began her duties as the Atlantic City Clerk on January 9, 2017. She currently serves on the Iowa League of Cities Board of Directors. Her last day with the City of Atlantic is March 22. She will begin her duties at Huxley on March 25.
The Personnel and Finance Committee will review and make recommendations on the City Clerk’s position and contractual services at their meeting this afternoon.
