(Atlantic) Atlantic firefighters responded to a grass fire near 620th and Memphis Road on Wednesday afternoon. Cass County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Kennon says embers from an old brush pile sparked again, starting the grass field on fire.
The Atlantic Fire Department responded quickly and doused the fire in just over 30 minutes. Cass County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Kennon was also at the scene. Kennon says the fire consumed about ten acres of grassland.
