(Des Moines, IA) — The Iowa House passes their version of the proposal making changes to the state’s Area Education Agencies.
Sioux County Republican Representative Skyler Wheeler. Money that would’ve gone directly to AEAs goes to school districts, where they can contract general education and media services. Dubuque County Democratic Representative Charles Isenhart says this slowly erodes AEAs.
The bill also creates a task force to see if more changes are needed.
