(Des Moines, IA) — Record high temperatures are expected to be set across the state today. The Mercury is expected to reach the mid-seventies in southwest Iowa today.

A much colder front moves in starting late Tuesday. After a forecast high of 63 degrees, the temperature is forecast to plummet to 12 degrees overnight, with a high of 32 degrees on Wednesday, a low of 16, and back to the fifties on Thursday, 60, Friday, 69 on Saturday, and 75 degrees on Sunday with a slight chance for a shower.
