(Ames, IA) – Iowa State’s Audi Crooks has been named the Big XII Player of the Week alongside Freshman of the Week honors for her excellent career-breaking performance last week. This is the first time in program history that a Big XII player has won both awards, an impressive feat.
Crooks has been averaging 18.3 points per game and has been shooting 58% from the hardwood. The Iowa native leads freshmen in Big XII averages with 19.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game this season. She now also has the most conference honors by any Iowa State freshman in program history with six.
Audi also was able to help creep Iowa State over both Houston and BYU. In the game against Houston, Crooks had her third straight 20+ point game and sixth double-double of the season with 25 points and 12 total rebounds. While looking at the game against BYU, she had 18 points and shot 8-12 from the field while hauling in nine boards and dishing out three assists. Crooks continues to add to the Iowa State freshman scoring record with 476 points through 26 games and the most field goals with 188 for Iowa State.
