(Adair Co) Two people were arrested on Child Endangerment charges in Adair County.
The Stuart Police Department arrested 35-year-old Tyrone Anthony Morris and 39-year-old Natasha Kay Peninger, both of Stuart, after officers conducted a search warrant at 615 SW 7th Street. According to the report, the residence was occupied by the two adults and their four minor children. Officers stated the overall state of the residence was dirty and in disarray. A glass pipe containing burnt marijuana residue and a tray with marijuana residue was located in the kitchen that would be accessible by the children. Marijuana shake was observed in the living room coffee table drawer. A grinder with marijuana residue was located in the bedroom of Tyrone and Natasha. A glass pipe containing burnt marijuana residue was located under the bed in a juvenile’s bedroom, along with marijuana residue on the dresser, multiple packages of empty cigarillos in the trash and a vape was located in a juvenile’s school backpack. Tyrone Morris and Natasha Peninger were both charged with Child Endangerment – Substantial Risk. Morris was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 2nd Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Morris was held on $3,300 cash or surety bond. Peninger was held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
In other activity, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Heather Marie Blair, of Indianola, on a warrant for Theft 5th Degree. Blair was held on $300 cash only bond.
The Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Hoss Franklin McKay, of Fontanelle, for Domestic Abuse Assault – Injury or Mental Illness. McKay was held on $1,000 cash or surety bond.
