Miller says the engineer’s estimate for the entire project is around $2.5 million, or part of it for $1.5 million. He said it would be up to the board to do it all now and part of it later.

Miller says the project will significantly improve the learning environment.

A meeting is set for February 27 to decide on proceeding with the project. Construction will begin this summer. Miller says the district has been saving P.P.E.L. and S.A.V.E. money over the past few years to pay for the project. If they decide to do the entire project, the district will borrow against its future S.A.V.E. at no cost to the taxpayer.
